Individuals, families, and their informal supports (carers, loved ones) are left to navigate this maze alone. They are forced to become the "human integrators," managing complex information and coordinating between providers who cannot coordinate with each other.
This creates an immense invisible burden of administrative and emotional labour. It's a source of constant anxiety, wasted time, and a very real risk of harm. The greatest failing of this design is that the very people impacted by it are left with no power to change it.
